The Story That Changed Everything
Sometimes Life Forces Us To Stop. What Happens Next Is A Choice.
On October 15, 2025, my life changed in an instant.
Meadow, my 120-pound rescued Neapolitan Mastiff, and I were doing something we had done countless times before—playing tag in the yard.
One split second.
One accidental collision.
One tibial plateau fracture.
I was home alone.
The pain was immediate and intense.
It took nearly twenty minutes to crawl back into my house and up six stairs.
My phone sat on the kitchen counter completely out of reach.
I grabbed a broom hoping to pull myself up.
The broom snapped in half.
I called everyone I could think of.
No answer.
I could feel myself beginning to go into shock.
My husband finally called back while driving home. Moments later, my son called and told me not to wait.
Call 911.
The ambulance arrived.
The paramedics attempted to bring a stretcher, but there was no way I could tolerate lying flat. Instead, they carefully transported me in a chair.
What surprised everyone was that I never cried.
Not because I wasn’t in pain.
Because I was.
I was in so much pain that I knew I needed something bigger than pain itself.
So I did something I had taught for years.
I shifted my focus.
I closed my eyes and visualized standing in Antarctica.
So cold that I could no longer feel my leg.
And slowly, it happened.
By the time I arrived at the emergency room, I wasn’t screaming.
I wasn’t crying.
I wasn’t asking for medication.
I was observing.
Learning.
Testing.
Because this had become my teaching story.
Sometimes Life Gives Us A Test
For nearly two decades, I had guided women through difficult chapters of their lives.
Now it was my turn.
The diagnosis was confirmed.
A tibial plateau fracture.
Five days later, I met with an incredible orthopedic surgeon. We discussed surgery, plates, screws, recovery timelines, and future possibilities.
Together, we made the decision to carefully monitor the fracture and continue evaluating my progress.
Physical therapy was recommended.
Instead, I chose to create a comprehensive wellness plan built upon everything I had spent decades studying.
Not because I had all the answers.
Because I wanted to discover what was possible when the body, mind, spirit, faith, community, and daily habits were fully supported.
My Living Room Became My Recovery Center
My son found me a wheelchair.
A lift chair.
An adjustable bed.
Friends, family, and complete strangers stepped in exactly when I needed them.
My community became my lifeline.
And Meadow?
She never left my side.
The first few days were humbling.
Simple things became major victories.
Getting to the bathroom.
Washing my hair.
Making coffee.
Taking a few more steps than the day before.
Funny how quickly life’s smallest blessings become its greatest luxuries.
Day after day, I followed my recovery plan with consistency and faith.
Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Visualization.
Movement.
Acupressure.
Gratitude.
Prayer.
Rest.
Community.
Simple daily actions repeated over time.
Four Weeks. Two Days.
Four weeks and two days after fracturing my leg, I was walking again.
Not because I am special.
Not because I had a perfect recovery.
Not because I had all the answers.
But because I committed to showing up every day.
One choice.
One step.
One practice.
One day at a time.
That experience changed me forever.
Not because I broke my leg.
But because it reminded me of something I had known all along.
The body is remarkable.
The mind is powerful.
Community matters.
Faith matters.
Gratitude changes everything.
And healing is never just physical.
It is emotional.
Spiritual.
Relational.
And deeply personal.
The Question That Changed Everything
Victim or Designer?
For years, I wrote the same question on my board every day.
Victim or Designer?
Life doesn’t always give us control over what happens.
But we always have a choice about what happens next.
I could have focused on what I lost.
Instead, I focused on what I could still create.
I could have focused on limitations.
Instead, I focused on possibilities.
I could have become a victim of my circumstances.
Instead, I chose to become the designer of my next chapter.
That question became my roadmap.
And eventually, it became part of the foundation of everything I teach today.
Why G.A.L.S.™ Exists
That experience reinforced something I had witnessed for years.
Women are incredibly strong.
But too many are carrying the weight of the world alone.
G.A.L.S.™ was created to change that.
Grow. Align. Lead. Soar.
A place where women support women.
A place where wellness, freedom, purpose, leadership, faith, and connection come together.
Because true transformation is never just about health.
It’s about becoming the woman you were designed to be.
Why Power On™ Exists
If G.A.L.S.™ is the foundation, POWER ON™ is the activation.
POWER ON™ was born from a simple belief:
Small daily actions create extraordinary change over time.
Not perfection.
Not overwhelm.
Not complicated protocols.
Just intentional action.
Supportive community.
Simple wellness tools.
And a commitment to becoming your best self.
At its core:
Tap It.
Patch It.
Breathe.
Simple.
Practical.
Powerful.
Freedom Is The Goal
Health Freedom.
Financial Freedom.
Time Freedom.
Soul Freedom.
I believe women rise faster together than they do alone.
I believe awareness creates change.
I believe community matters.
I believe simple daily actions create extraordinary results.
And most importantly:
I believe you are far more powerful than you’ve been led to believe.
Where Do You Go From Here?
Community. Connection. Growth.
Simple daily wellness and activation.
Help other women rise while creating greater freedom, impact, and possibility in your own life.
